Step 1 – The Initial Meeting
Your journey starts with a one-on-one meeting with John. We discuss your wish list, including:

Ideal position on your lot
Bring sketches, notes, or inspiration photos. These help us understand your style and priorities. After the meeting, and using our pricing guide, John prepares a detailed quote for your review.
Step 2 – Contract and Deposit
Once you approve the quote, our office manager sends you a design contract and an initial invoice. We begin your project after we receive both the signed contract and your deposit. If you have questions, our office manager is ready to assist and clarify details.
Step 3 – Preliminary Design and Feedback
John creates conceptual sketches based on your initial meeting. You will receive a printed “check set” of the design. Review it, mark changes, and add notes before returning it to us.
This stage can take several weeks, depending on the complexity of your home and surveyor timelines.
Step 4 – Design Revisions and Collaboration
After we receive your feedback, you meet again with John to discuss adjustments. From this stage forward, one of our architectural technicians joins every meeting. This ensures your changes are captured accurately and consistently.
We collaborate with you until you are completely happy with the design.
Step 5 – Final Working Drawings
Once you approve the design, it moves into our drafting queue. An architectural technologist prepares the final AutoCAD or REVIT construction drawings. These are ready for both permitting and builder use.
Your second invoice is issued when we start this stage.
